Monthly billing for enrolled members will pause if payment is unsuccessful due to a card error or if the client's wallet balance exceeds the $2,000.00 storage limit.
Resolve failed payments by updating the client's credit card or by contacting the client to schedule an appointment to use the available wallet balance.
Step 1: Log into OPUL.
Step 2: From the Patients home page, select Failed Payment from the Filter menu to see a list of all clients with failed membership payments.
Step 3: Select or Search for the client's name. If a client’s payment has failed, their monthly membership payments will pause, and a banner will appear with the reason for the failed payment. Payment failures can be due to one of the following:
- Insufficient Funds
- Expired Card
- Membership Wallet balanced has reached the $2,000.00 limit
Step 4: Payment failures due to Insufficient Funds or Expired Card can be resolved by selecting View Details under Membership.
Under Payment Method, select Update. Enter the new credit card information for the client, including card holder name, card number, CVV, expiry, and billing zip code. Confirm that you have received authorization from the client to save the card on file to be used for monthly membership payments and purchases made at your practice. Once confirmed, check the box next to Save card on file and select Done. Membership payments will resume on the Next Billing Date.
Payment failures due to meeting the $2,000.00 wallet balance limit can be resolved by the client using the available wallet balance. We encourage you to contact the client to schedule an appointment to use any available funds.
Once the client's wallet balance is below $2,000.00 and the monthly membership payment will not cause the wallet balance to exceed $2,000.00, monthly membership payments will resume on the Next Billing Date.
